of anodes in ZINC-ALUMINIUM-MAGNESlUM as well as the Impressed
current "FONP- MATIC" systems.
In seawater, where currents can cause extensive damage by
corrosion, the protection of metal structures cannot be trusted
solely to paint which has a limited lifespan. Cathodic protection
is essential and can be applied in any of the following ways:
Sacrificial anodes - zinc anodes, aluminium anodes, magnesium
anodes
ICCP impressed current system using permanent anodes and
reference cell(s) (or with a system which combines both sacrificial
anodes and ICCP)
